Fairfax, Virginia — 22 July 2026 — The African Council on Foreign Relations (ACFR) is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Jean Narcisse Djaha, Global Executive Chair of ACFR, as the Founding and Inaugural Chair of the ACFR Europe Program.

In this historic role, Dr. Djaha will lead the design, governance architecture, and cross‑border execution of the ACFR 2030 Agenda, the institution’s flagship framework for shaping Africa–Europe cooperation, strengthening continental diplomacy, and advancing excellence‑based global governance.

As Inaugural Chair, Dr. Djaha will oversee the establishment of the Europe Program’s strategic pillars, including governance innovation, institutional partnerships, continental leadership development, and the expansion of ACFR’s Market‑Made School of International Relations (MMSIR) across European capitals. His appointment marks a decisive step in ACFR’s mission to build a new generation of Africa‑centered global institutions.
